First Impressions - Fred Thompson

Fred Thompson
Current Job: Actor / Presidential candidate.
Former Job: U. S. Senator from Tennessee.
Presidential history: This is his first Presidential run.
Book (if you’re running for President, they make you write a book): None. (Really? None?! Okay, he did write a book on Watergate thirty years ago, but that hardly counts.)
Interesting facts I remember:
- Played a significant role as minority counsel during the Watergate hearings.
- Thompson has cancer that is in remission, specifically non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
- He was well-regarded for his part as an attorney on the TV show Law & Order, which I’ve never seen.
- I do know, however, that he totally kicked ass in The Hunt for Red October.
Issues I think Fred cares about:
- I have no idea where Mr. Thompson stands.
Things I like about Fred:
Okay, this is going to be silly, but… he just feels Presidential. Y’know?
Things I don’t like about Fred
Quite honestly, I don’t know enough about him to have a long list of negatives.
